Co-presented with Reel Q, Pittsburgh's LGBT Film Festival
Sex, death, and loneliness are explored in this eerie thriller from Toronto's Fest (and winner of the Un Certain Regarde prize at the Cannes Film Festival). Death and desire unfold entirely in the vicinity of a gay cruising ground that becomes a crime scene. The camera captures naked bodies and hardcore sex with the same naturalness as the water. Franck, a handsome young guy, meets Henri, a chubby older man who claims no interest in the shenanigans taking place. Their budding friendship is interrupted when a mysterious, moustachioed Adonis shows up.
